to photograph the frosted flowers
and flowerbuds in the garden.
And then saturday afternoon,
after a whole week of grey skies,
a bright blue sky appeared.
Nothing could keep me inside then
and although it was freezing cold,
I went for a walk nearby.
First time ever in the almost thirteen years
we've lived here now that the canal
froze over and could be walked,
played and skated on.
Saturday was a beautiful,
freezing cold but bright day.
And then came sunday.
No blue sky anymore
but a constant falling of snowflakes.
By the end of the afternoon,
the once frosty world was covered
with a fresh white layer of snow.
A beautiful ending of the weekend.
