Today I wondered wether the bushes along Lombard Street
in San Francisco are hydrangeas.
Looking through some pictures of the famous street
on the internet, I should find the answer,
was my idea.
And so I did
look through some pictures
on the internet.
Mmmmm.
Could be hydrangeas
Oh yeah,
hydrangeas allright!
No doubt about it anymore now!!!

Hi Marian, Good bit of detective work! I wasn't sure myself what they were but you're right. That explains why there were no flowers when I was there in April. We didn't drive down it this time but could see from a distance that there wasn't too much blooming. David once took me for a ride around San Francisco on his motorcycle (before we were married). I was screaming and shutting my eyes for most of the ride up and down the hills, which he concluded by taking me down Lombard street. I was pretty nervous. Maybe that's why I stayed away on this recent visit. :)
