Today I'd like to share some
old botanical prints with you.
You must have seen by now that I love those,
just look at my header for instance.
I don't have any old (books with) botanical prints
but you can find a lot of them on the internet.
The prints I'm sharing now
are from a site I discovered a while ago.
It's called Botanicus.org and it has
an extensive digital library of old books,
all about botanical subjects.
It takes time to actually track down
some beautiful prints because there are
a lot of text pages as well of course.
Some books don't even have any
botanical prints but it's always
great when you do find something,
like the prints I'm showing underneath.
They come from a book to teach
young ladies how to sow and draw flowers.
The prints I chose fit this season perfectly:
Hyacinths, Anemones, Tulips, Daffodils,....
I hope you enjoy these prints.
I left them in the original size,
so when you right click on them and choose
to open in a new screen, you can save
them to print out, which is what I did
and they came out perfectly.

Dat ik oude botanische prenten mooi vind,
hadden jullie wellicht al door,
kijk maar naar mijn header.
Vandaag wou ik graag bovenstaande
botanische prenten met jullie delen.
Ze komen uit een oud boek dat jonge meisjes
het tekenen en borduren van bloemen moest aanleren.
Ik vond het boek op de site botanicus.org.
Daar vind je nog veel meer oude botanische boeken
die gedigitaliseerd werden en opgeslagen zijn op deze site.
Niet alle boeken hebben botanische prenten dus het is
soms een beetje zoeken voor je iets vind.
De prenten die ik jullie nu laat zien
vond ik wel passen bij het seizoen:
Tulpen, Narcissen, Madeliefjes, Hyacinten, Anemonen,....
Ik liet ze in hun originele grootte
dus rechtermuisklik op een prent,
bewaren in een nieuw tabblad en je ziet
de prent op ware grootte die je dan eventueel kan afprinten.
