Not the summer crochet project plaid but the primulaplaid.
It's been finished for about a week now and I did take some
pictures of it inside the house but those pictures were only good
to be thrown into the waste basket. Not really the time of year to take
good indoor pictures. That's why I couldn't show you any photos of
the progress of this plaid earlier. But last week, when a beautiful day announced itself,
I took my chance and out I went with the plaid to take some pictures outside
that turned out more or less to my liking.

I have to say 'more or less' because I see such beautifully styled pictures
of crochet work every time I visit blogland, that's something I clearly
don't have in me. I did try, believe me, but I'm really bad at it.
Afgewerkt! Niet het zomer haakproject maar de primulaplaid.
Ongeveer een week is de deken af en ik nam er binnenshuis al wel foto's van,
ook tussendoor van de nog niet volledig afgewerkte plaid, maar die foto's
waren alleen goed voor de prullenbak. Niet echt makkelijk om binnenshuis
gelukte foto's te nemen, vooral niet op donkere dagen, zoals de laatste tijd
vaak het geval was. Op die ene mooie dag vorige week greep ik dan ook mijn
kans om de plaid zo goed en zo kwaad als het kon op de foto te zetten.
Het moet gezegd, telkens ik in blogland op bezoek kom,
zie ik de prachtigst gestylede projecten, werkelijk subliem op de foto gezet.

Dat heb ik blijkbaar totaal niet in de vingers.
Ik heb het wel geprobeerd, geloof me, maar ik bak er niet echt veel van.
First I thought of draping the plaid over a bistro chair....
Hmm, that didn't really work.... Plaid too big for the little chair.
Love that reflection on the ground though ;)
Eerst wou ik de plaid over een bistrostoeltje draperen....
Hmm, lukte niet echt.... Plaid te groot voor het stoeltje.
Die schaduw op de grond vind ik dan weer wel leuk.
Why not try and drape it over the bench then....

Tried something different and from another angle....
Nog maar wat anders proberen dan....
Ok, by then I knew this wasn't going to work.
Just hung the plaid folded in two over the bench
and there it is, as it is, without edging because I think
it looks good as it is and doesn't need the edging.
Intussen was me duidelijk geworden dat dit niets werd.
Uiteindelijk gewoon de plaid in tweeën gevouwen over de bank gehangen
en dat is het dan, de plaid zoals die geworden is, zonder rand
trouwens omdat ik die niet nodig vond.
This plaid doesn't really need too much fuss around it anyway,
colourful as it is. I love it and it was a very fun plaid to crochet.
Figurewise: 440 rounds went in it, 20 different colours, and I think
colourwise there can't be found two exactly the same rounds in it.
Deze plaid heeft dan ook niet zoveel tierelantijntjes errond nodig, kleurrijk als ze is.
Ik ben er superblij mee en het was een leuke deken om te maken.
Over cijfers gesproken: er gingen 440 rondjes in, 20 verschillende kleuren
en wat kleuren betreft kunnen er denk ik geen twee exact dezelfde
rondjes gevonden worden.
Now I wonder if you'd let a colourful blanket like this into your home?
Maybe on a dark, grey and rainy Autumn day as today that wouldn't be the
slightest problem ;) I can also say this plaid has been put to use already,
so cosy sitting on the couch under a field of primula's while
watching TV or making plans for the next crochet project already,
or should I first finish that summer crochet project now.....

Nu vraag ik me wel af of een kleurrijke deken als deze bij jullie in huis zou komen?
Op zo'n donkere, grijze, regenachtige herfstdag als vandaag, is dat misschien
niet echt een probleem ;) Ik kan je wel zeggen dat de plaid hier al in gebruik is intussen.
Heel gezellig om lekker warm onder een deken van primula's TV te kijken
of al plannen te maken voor een volgende haakproject,
maar misschien zou ik toch beter eerst het zomer haakproject afwerken.....
